A More Christlike Word

I absolutely love this book. It will reorient the way in which one reads the scriptures and allows you to open up to and point you toward the Word, Jesus, the Word made flesh. God is revealed in Jesus. By viewing the Bible through “the Emmanus Way” Bradley Jersak takes us back to how the early church viewed and studied the scriptures. It allows God to speak through the scriptures and not via the lens of man. Our devotion to the Bible displaces Jesus as the authority. When we read the Bible with Jesus as the center we are more in harmony with God and we see disclosed. This book is by no means light reading, it can be very scholarly in tone at times. But it is well worth the read and to take the time to soak it in.
