The Divine Dance

The Divine Dance

For anyone who wants to start reading Richard Rohr, I tell them to pick up this book first. For me, this book is the essential Rohr. Father Rohr with the help of Mike Morrell, draws from the Christian mystics and the early church to bring us back around to God. We have lost our connection with God and have gotten further away from God in all of our man-made trappings. God is everywhere, everything, everyone. Rohr and Morrell posit the view of the Trinity as not separate, but all working together in like a circle, as dancing, the give and take tension of cohesion, fluidity, and flow as one. The divine dance simply put is love and God asks, wants us to join in this dance equally, this dance of life and love. When we engage in this beautiful dance with God, how may it influence how we “dance” with others? Included in the Appendix are seven practices to help one experience the Trinity. Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book free from the author and/or publisher through the Speakeasy blogging book review network. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
