Who is Sophia

Set in a future San Francisco and centered around the last band of “christworshippers”, who are small and dwindling in number…there are only 11 along with the “Last Bishop” Peter. Sophia, a lowly mysterious outsider sets up a tent in front of Grace Cathedral, eventually joining the group to make them 12 in number. Who is she, what is she? Sophia slowly reveals herself and pushes the congregates in their faith, views on God and themselves. JF Alexander manages to wrap a futuristic tale, an assessment of the modern world, an appraisal of Christianity and questions about God into a creative and thought-provoking tale. Part Science Fiction, part theology, part spirituality this book packs a punch. The story unfolded and I could not put it down. This is a quick read, but the messages linger.
