First off full disclosure: I received this book free from the author and/or publisher through the Speakeasy blogging book review network. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I was so excited to be able to read this title. The idea of a graphic novel based on Dietrich Bonhoeffer just tickled me. I truly admire what Bonhoeffer stood for and wrote. This graphic novel not only makes his life and works accessible, it shows the brutal rise and history of the Third Reich in clear concise terms. What did the Third Reich do? How did it impact the religious institutions? Who resisted and what did they try to do? The illustrations and sidebars are beautifully drawn. This graphic novel has a wide range of appeal for a broad audience. It is perfect to give to teens and for those who have read all of Bonhoeffer's works. It sucks you in. I can't say enough about this graphic novel. #FaithfulSpy
